She traveled all over the United States doing her research and was a source of information for many families in Clinton County and from people from throught the country. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.Īfter retirement she spent many years working on genealogy of the Burchett, Conner, York and many other families in Clinton County. She was very active in the Albany Younger Women's Club, Albany Women's Club and served as President. She professed faith in Christ at an early age. She was the Supervising Teacher in the Clinton County School System prior to retirement in 1977. She first taught in a one room school in the Clinton County School System, taught fifth grade in Albany, and taught History and Social Studies at Clinton County High School. She, like many of the teachers of that time period, attended College on Saturdays and during the week at night. She graduated from Western Kentucky State College with a BS is 1955 and an MA in 1967.
